If you own a small business or are an entrepreneur, it is a great idea to network locally. Becoming a member of prominent organizations, attending events, and contributing to local charities are great ways to gain exposure for your business. It is always nice to get out of your office and meet people.
But…there are only so many hours in a day and when you are at a networking event, you can only talk to so many people. Following up with everyone you meet can be a tedious and labor intensive task.
You can maximize your marketing potential by using digital marketing. While you are at your next networking events, your emails, social posts and digital ad campaigns can be working for you too.
In this day and age it is essential that you also have an online presence. The best place to start is with a nicely designed, mobile friendly website. A website doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be a simple and eye-catching page that gives your potential clients more information about you and your business.
You can also share your social media links on your website. If viewers of your page are interested, they will certainly want to know more about you. By sharing links to your social media profiles, your potential customers and ideal clients will be able to connect with you wherever you are, and stay up to date with your latest offerings. You, in turn, will learn more about them, which will help you serve them better.
Most importantly, you’ll want a way for people to join your email list. Your website is the perfect place to do this. Once people sign up for your email newsletter and free offers, they will get to know you. By offering consistent, valuable content with the people on your email list, you will build your “know, like, and trust” factor. When you have a new product or service available, you can market it directly to your list. Because you’ve already established a relationship with them, they will be more likely to buy your product or service.
